The Members Club Junior Invitational 2017

Six high school players and myself started this tournament 5 years ago while I was working in Hilton Head Island, SC. I saw this as a way for me to give back to junior golf which has provided so much for me over the years. The idea behind it was to create a high school golf tournament the likes that nobody had seen before. Everything we do is based on input from the players, right down to the menu. We are hosting 25 of the top teams from North & South Carolina. Each team brings five players with four scores counting. The tournament is the ONLY three day high school tournament in the Carolinas. We are also privileged to host the Travis Mathew Awesome Tour Bus for the weekend The Tour Bus provides the kids with the opportunity to pick out their own tee gifts. Each player is allotted $100 to purchase any items provided by the tour bus. We also host two dinners for the players and coaches. The dinners consist of a nice plated dinner Friday night after play and a pig roast on Saturday night. Saturday night at the request of the players is "contest/fun night". The Travis Mathew bus has a bunch of fun lawn games that they bring with them such as corn-hole, lawn darts, and even a basketball hoop. The players have a great time relaxing after the competition and just having fun. We also run some contests that night for some fun give away prizes.
